Your own photographer and drone photography
Looking for advice from folks who’ve actually done this. We want sunrise shots near the Palm, and I’m thinking to bring our own photographer. The tricky part is the drone: don’t want to mess with rules or annoy the crew. Has anyone arranged an early embark, briefed the captain, and kept everything hassle-free? Also curious if certain marinas are calmer at dawn and whether there’s space on board to set up gear without tripping over it.

For reference, we booked through yacht rentals dubai after asking a bunch of questions ahead of time. They flagged boats in the Dubai yacht fleet that are cool with outside photographers and explained what the captain needs to know before departure. We did a dawn run, kept the route simple, and cleared any drone talk with the skipper first. Paperwork aside, the crew helped stage angles and managed the pace so no one was rushed. If you need flexibility, check private yacht packages and specify timing, headcount, and any gear in the notes.
