Beginner House Dance Class (June 22)
Single Class / With Effect (or Didi) / Ages 18+ / No experience needed / 7-8PM
Class Description
Join Effect, our co-founder and one of our House teachers, for his one-time beginner-friendly class. Effect, has been dancing House for over 15 years through the world. As one of Ottawa's few House dance teachers, this class welcomes dancers with none to very minimal prior House experience. No dance / movement experience is required, but is helpful! House is a feeling and a culture before it is a dance. However, it is a dance form that emerged from the sounds of House music, which has roots in Philly, Detroit, Chicago and New York. It has influences from Salsa, Breaking, Hip Hop, Authentic Jazz, Capoeira and more. Think footwork, floorwork, smoooooth movements and a crazy cardio workout! If you want to sweat, this is the class. Music used: -House Note: If Effect cannot attend, Didi will sub in. If your child is under 18 and would like to participate, please email us first to see if this is the right class for them.
